Boston’s Brookwood Community Farm is hiring for the season

Brookwood Community Farm, a 5-acre community farm located just outside of Boston seeks a Volunteer & Education Coordinator for the 2012 season.  We grow organic vegetables and flowers for a 200-member CSA, two weekly farmer’s markets, and a variety of food access programs. We also host regular volunteer and educational opportunities for our CSA members as well as groups and individuals from Boston and surrounding communities.

The seasonal part-time Volunteer and Education Coordinator will provide leadership and supervision to farm visitors of all ages and support the development and implementation of educational workshops for adults. This includes responsibilities such as managing communication with volunteers and visiting groups, leading farm tours, supervising volunteers, and helping the farm staff to maintain the learning garden. This position will average 20 hours per week for 25 weeks, beginning in May. Compensation is $10/hr plus produce from the farm.
