On March 10th, the American Studies Program at AU will host the annual meeting of the Chesapeake chapter of the American Studies Association that this year explores transnational cultural flows and community activism. Along with a number of food related papers (please see program), we will also organize a meeting of scholars in the region who work on food related topics. This informal meeting, chaired by Warren Belasco, is meant to be an opportunity to build alliances. It will be held in Katzen Arts Center (room 112) from 2:30-3:45. You are warmly invited to join us (also if you are not an Americanist). Please also let interested colleagues know.
For registration and more information on the conference in general please go to http://www.american.edu/cas/chasa2012/index.cfm.
